Senior Industrial Engineer

We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to fill a key position on our Fulfillment IT team. As a Senior Industrial Engineer at our American Canyon, CA office.

The Senior Industrial Engineering role allows you to utilize your expert-level technical skills in our best-in-class e-commerce warehousing, cross dock, packaging, and transportation environments. It allows you to utilize your proficiency in project management, continuous improvement, facility layout and design, productivity tracking, and warehouse slotting skills to lead significant warehouse projects and strategic corporate initiatives.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with consultants to analyze distribution networks and conveyor systems for optimization.
  • Create and deliver capital budget and MHE solutions to the leadership team.
  • Work with the operations' team in the implementation of continuous improvement solutions.
  • Ensure cost cutting measures are conducted strategically and effectively for the business, associates, and our customers.
  • Optimize Slotting of warehouses using identified systems, tools, and processes.
  • Develop and Maintain Best Practices, Standards, and Labor Management Tools.
  • Evaluate and improve packaging solutions and services.
  • Other duties as Assigned.

Who you are:

Candidates must possess highly developed sense of empathy, with a focus on ensuring the best experience for our partners, clients, and the end-consumer.

  • 10+ years of experience supporting and implementing logistics processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Must possess an Expert Level understanding of Distribution and Fulfillment Processes.
  • Able to travel within the United States up to 25%.
  • Must possess experience in Slotting Methodology and Optimization Systems.
  • Must possess experience with automation and conveyor systems.
  • Must possess experience managing capital projects and MHE (conveyor & control systems).
  • Must be familiar with WMS systems (High Jump preferred).
  • Must possess experience in Continuous Improvement (Six Sigma Black Belt preferred but not required).
  • Must possess experience in Space Optimization and Capacities.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD LT.
  • Must possess creativity and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels within the organization and customers.
  • Must be knowledgeable with project management tools and techniques.
