About the position

As Senior QA Automation Engineer, you are both hands-on, ensuring the continuous delivery of high-quality software for wineries, and a mentor across teams, evolving our testing automation to continually support this deliverability process. Being a part of our QA team means you have a large say in how a feature gets built, tested, and deployed, and you will be responsible for making sure the care and attention happen throughout the process.

As a detail-oriented engineer, with a passion for building great software products and improving engineering efficiency, you will be evolving our testing automation strategies, tools, and practices across the entire Product Development department. You will be mentoring the team on best practices and setting up the necessary tools. You will also be responsible for building and executing test strategies and plans for the WineDirect platform while working with engineering teams to identify and resolve defects.

Responsibilities include

  • Establishing and implementing best practices to evolve the testing automation for reliability and scalability
  • Foster a test-driven engineering culture that drives improvements in quality.
  • Working directly with the development team throughout entire features to ensure quality.
  • Developing automated test scripts with a variety of testing tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
  • Working with the team to outline and document the required test cases.
  • Diagnose issues, report defects, and propose regression tests to discover reoccurrences.
  • Work with engineers, product leads, and customer success teams to triage and prioritize issues for resolution.
  • Own the process of creating metrics to measure and monitor product performance and quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  1. Minimum 6+ years of experience delivering high-quality SaaS applications.
  2. A solid foundation of QA methodologies, testing techniques, and software development processes.
  3. Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
  4. Strong experience in automating end-end test cases (using tools like Selenium, Protractor, Cypress, etc.), API testing (SOAP UI, Postman, etc.), performance testing and security testing using JMeter or any other relevant tool.
  5. Experience using CircleCI or other CI/CD tools.
  6. The drive to mentor fellow QA teammates and developers.
